Wine in Weinviertel

Following the predominant Grüner Veltliner is an impressive regiment of other grape varieties. The Weinviertel has a rich assortment of different wines and wine styles due to various factors, particularly climatic influences and geological conditions. Despite this diversity, Grüner Veltliner remains the undisputed star of Weinviertel wine enjoyment. Around 6,200 hectares translate not only to the half of all Grüner Veltliner plantings within Austria, but also close to half of what grows throughout the world.
